New Member Orientation
The Northlake Baptist New Member Orientation is open to new members and those considering membership. The course is taught by Minister of Discipleship Corbin Smith along with other church leaders and covers basic Christian Discipleship as outlined in Acts chapter 2. Dates for this class will be announced ahead of time.
Session 1:
1. Baptism – “an outward sign of an inward grace”.
2. Church Membership – an overview and the history of Northlake Baptist Church
Session 2:
3. Bible Study – a Summary of Biblical Doctrinal Distinctives.
Session 3:
4. Prayer – a prayer guide based on the acronym “ACTS” – Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication
5. Fellowship – The Family of God, Unity in Diversity
Session 4:
6. Ministering – Discovering our Spiritual Gifts and using them in the ministry of the church.
7. Giving – Biblical theology of stewardship; stewarding time, effort, and resources together as a group of believers.
8. Witnessing – Importance of sharing the Gospel individually and as a group, incl. by sharing your personal testimony.
This class is a great opportunity to learn more about Northlake and the ministries of the church. The New Member Orientation is one of the best ways to get to know the people of the church and to get involved in serving Christ. We hope to see you there!
