Our Wednesday night topic for Dec 12^th – will be the question: “Will we Know each other in Heaven?” Recently, someone asked me — “Will we recognize each other? Will we remember all that happened down on earth?”

The reason for the question had to do with Funerals. Often, preachers get sentimental in their funeral eulogies and begin describing how “Momma” is now in Heaven and has been reunited with “Daddy” and how they are skipping down the streets of gold in heaven together reminscing about their 50 wonderful years of marriage … which is a wonderful thought.

But if we really do recognize each other and remember all of our experiences while down on earth – won’t it be a little awkward if we remember EVERYTHING!

*What if you remarried – Will your first spouse be happy to meet your second spouse?

*What about divorces between Christians?

*What about family members who do not make it in to Heaven – will we miss  them? – will we know that they went to Hell?  How could we possibly be  happy in heaven knowing that?

*What if someone who hurt you “really bad” – manages to get “saved” and you get to see them forever in heaven?

How can Heaven be a heavenly, a blissful and a joyful place if we recognize and remember everyone and everything?
