On Wednesday Night, August 24^th, we will be praying and having a prayer meeting about prayer!  Prayer is essential to living the Christian life. In Acts 1, we read that the Christian Church began in a prayer meeting. One hundred and twenty believers in Jesus Christ met in “the upper room” and “continued in one accord in prayer.” In First Thessalonians 5:17, Christians are commanded to “pray without ceasing.” In Psalms 55:17, we are also told to have special times of prayer throughout the day  “Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.”
