On Wednesday Night, June 17, at 6:30pm we will be discussing our “Opinion of the Bible.” There are various views concerning the Bible. Since we live in a “Post-Christian” society, many people see the Bible as just another book. Some Christians would say that the Bible IS the Word of God and therefore true in all that it says. Others would say that the Bible CONTAINs the Word of God but since it is a book written by humans – it may contain errors.

Next week, Northlake Baptist Church will be hosting Vacation Bible School. Part of VBS is reciting the Pledge to the Bible:  “I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s Holy Word, I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path and will hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God.”

This pledge is based on several verses from Psalm 119:… 140 “Your word is very pure [holy]; therefore Your servant loves it… 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path… 11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.”
