Unbelievers know most about Belief?

Home > Pastor's Blog > Unbelievers know most about Belief?

Last Wednesday –10/20/2010- we discussed a recent article in the Georgia Baptist paper, The Christian Index – entitled “Poll finds Unbelievers know the most about Belief.”   The poll concluded that Agnostics, Atheists, Jews, and Mormons know more about beliefs than “Mainline” Christians. The good news is that most of our Northlake audience scored better than the Atheists who averaged 60%. If you missed the quiz,  you can take it at:

The best way to improve your score on the Bible questions portion of the quiz comes from 2 Timothy 2: 15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  In order to learn more about what other Christian denominations and world religions believe, go to www.4truth.net which is a website provided by the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. All Christians are called to be witnesses for Jesus Christ and to be effective, we must be knowledgeable of the Scriptures and also knowledgeable of the worldview of the people around us.

This Wednesday – 10/27/2010- we will be discussing Halloween.   Should Christians participate in Halloween activities such as  Trick or Treat,  Haunted Houses,  Horror Movies, Masquerade parties dressed as Witches, Wizards, Ghosts, Vampires, etc. ?     Please give us your thoughts in the poll below:
