On Wednesday Night, March 8^th, we will discuss the “Christian Calendar.”

I was recently asked about Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, and Lent. Mardi Gras was February 28^th. Ash Wednesday was March 1^st. Now, we are in the 40 days of Lent. Several Churches in the area are holding special services for these Christian Holidays. What are the meanings for these dates?  Why are most Baptist churches not observing these Holidays?
