On Wednesday Night, July 11th  we will try to answer the question: “Does Satan have to get God’s permission tempt us?”  The question came to us from a recent Sunday School Lesson from the Old Testament Book of Job chapter 1 – where Satan tells the LORD that Job is only loyal to God because God has richly blessed Job. Satan tells the LORD that if he will withhold these blessings, then Job will be as selfish and sinful as any other man. Then in Job 1:12 the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”   After God’s “permission”, Satan caused Job to lose his family, his business, his wealth, and his health. Still, Job remained faithful to the LORD even while enduring intense suffering and loss.
