On Wednesday Night, May 25^th, the Northlake Community Impact Team will be presenting a video called Culture Shock – “What do you say to a Gay Friend?”  While the topic may be controversial for us, it is daily becoming an unavoidable topic because of Presidential executive orders and Supreme Court decisions that are radically changing our culture. The topic is also becoming more personal as most of us know someone “near and dear” to us who claims to be homosexual.

The video features Pastor Chip Ingram from Venture Christian Church in Los Gatos, California. He encourages us to look at the claims made by homosexuals that they are “born that way – it’s who I am – it’s normal and natural for me – it’s just an alternative lifestyle – and it’s my civil right”  in the light of science, research, and the Bible.  Pastor Ingram describes the 2 different ways that the church seems to be handling the issue now – speaking Truth without Love -or- speaking Love without Truth – and he encourages us to speak the Truth in Love (Eph 4:15).
