On Wednesday Night, July 25^th, we will have a discussion about the “Blood Moon” as a sign of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Back in 2014, several prophecy preachers were warning Christians about the 4 “Blood Moons” in 2014-2015. And now we have another one – this Friday – July 27th, 2018 which will be visible in Europe and Africa producing a red color and will last for approximately 2 Hours. Astronomers say the eclipse will be the longest lunar eclipse in the 21^st Century.

Some prophecy preachers are teaching that several “Blood Moons” are referred to in the Scriptures. In Joel 2:31 “The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.”  Acts 2:19-20 refers to the prophet Joel “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.”

Jesus refers to the prophecy of Joel in His Olivet Discourse recorded in Mat 24:29, Mar 13:24, and Luk 21:25. The Apostle John also writes the same in the 6^th Seal of the Revelation – Rev 6:12 “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.”

In the Jewish Talmud (Book of Tradition) it says “when the moon is in eclipse, it is a bad omen for Israel. If its face is as red as blood…” So apparently, the Jewish people have interpreted the “moon turning to blood” as an eclipse that makes the moon look red.

NASA reported 4 “Blood Moons” would occur in 2014 & 2015 and they just happen to fall on Jewish Holidays – April 15, 2014, October 8, 2014,  April 15, 2015, and September 28, 2015. Those dates came and went without the Second Coming of Christ or the End of the World as we know it. So, our question for the evening is:  Will July 27, 2018 be different?
