On Wednesday Night, Jun 1^st , we will be discussing “apostasy.”  Is it possible to be saved and then fall into sin and lose your salvation?  Several Christian denominations believe that you may.  Many refer to scripture verses like Hebrews 6:4-6 as proof of their position. Those verses seem to infer that apostasy or “falling away” is possible. One of the largest Christian denominations in America says in their Articles of Faith “we believe, although we have experienced regeneration, it is possible to depart from grace and fall into sin… Another says – “we believe it is possible for a person once saved to turn from God   and be lost again.”

Baptists have traditionally believed “once saved always saved.”  How do we justify that belief?  How do we interpret Hebrews 6:4-6?  That will be our question for the evening:
