A Meditation on the Crucifixion of Christ from the 4 Gospels:

Jesus began His ministry by going to the Jordan River to be Baptized by John the Baptist. And when John saw  Him, he said  Joh 1:29 “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

3 Years Later

Mar 14:12 Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover lamb, His disciples said to Him, “Where do You want us to go and prepare, that You may eat the Passover?” [Last Supper]

Mar 15:1  in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.

Mat 27:22 Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “Let Him be crucified!”

Joh 19: 11 So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. 2 And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. 3 Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck Him with their hands.

Mar 15:22  And they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull. 23 Then they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He did not take it… 25 Now it was the third hour (9 AM), and they crucified Him.

Luk 23: 33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

Mat 27: 41… the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said, 42 “He saved others; Himself He  cannot save.

Luk 23:39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” 40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” 43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

John 19:26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” 27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.

Mar 15:33 Now when the sixth hour (Noon) had come, there was darkness over the whole land

Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour (3 PM) Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying,…. “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”  [Psa 22:1]

Joh 19:28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”  [Psa 22:15]

Joh 19:30  So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!”

Luk 23:46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.”   [Psa 31:5]

Joh 19:30b  And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Mar 15:39 So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said,

“Truly this Man was the Son of God!”
