On Wednesday Night, August 4^th, at 6:30 PM, we’ve been asked to share a “First Aid Kit for Divorce.”  Back in February 24, 2021, we offered a “First Aid Kit for Marriage” from the Old Testament Book of Hosea. Since then, I received an email requesting us to study a similar “First Aid Kit for Divorce.”

The Biblical teaching of Jesus concerning divorce is found in Mat 19, Mar 10,   and Luk 16.  The Apostle Paul offers some additional spiritual guidance in 1Co 7.  While the Bible records some very clear guidance on the subject of divorce, the interpretation and application of that guidance has been controversial throughout church history.  Some Bible scholars say the Bible gives permission for divorce & remarriage. Others say the Bible gives permission for divorce, but not remarriage. Still, others say the Bible gives permission for neither.
