The Coronavirus Sermon Anniversary

Home > Pastor's Blog > The Coronavirus Sermon Anniversary

On Wednesday Night, April 21st, at 6:30pm, we will have an update on the sermon from April 19. 2020 “Is this Coronavirus a Sign of the End of the World?”  On that date last year, we were already about one month into a year of radical changes in the lives of people in our state, nation, and the world. We were getting daily White House Briefings from the President and his medical experts from the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control. The media was giving constant warnings about COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. We were warned to close all “non-essential” businesses (which including churches) and to stay at home. If we needed to go out, then we must wear masks and “socially distance” at least 6 feet from each other. We were frequently washing our hands and/or using hand sanitizer. We were wiping down surfaces with disinfectants. People were genuinely afraid of this plague which was advertised to be akin to the Black Plague of the 14th Century.

People who attend church regularly and even those who attend church rarely were asking the question “Is this Coronavirus a Sign of the End of the World?” In the 4/19 sermon, I answered “NO, I do not believe this virus is The End of the World.” The Bible tells us clearly that before the End of the World and the appearance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there will be an Anti-Christian One World Government led by the Anti-Christ. I said “while I do not think this Coronavirus is the End of the World, I do think COVID-19 is a drill, a simulation, a dress rehearsal to work out the bugs and get all the nations prepared for this Final World Government.”

So here we are after one full year of Fear. We now have “vaccines” which supposedly will not keep you from getting or spreading the virus, but will supposedly keep you from being hospitalized or dying. Still there are daily warnings that there are variants to this virus that may strike at any time.
