Should you take the COVID Vaccine?

Home > Pastor's Blog > Should you take the COVID Vaccine?

On Wednesday Night, Jan 27th, at 6:30pm, we will have a study concerning the COVID Vaccine. I have received many requests for this topic. It is a controversial topic because many in our church family are ready to get the vaccine as soon as it is available. Others think that Christians should not take the vaccine and that it might even be sinful to take it.

Soon all of us may be forced to make a decision about taking the vaccine. Medical professionals are saying that 70% of the population must be vaccinated in order to achieve “herd immunity” and end this pandemic. However, we read articles in the news that say 30% of healthcare workers are refusing the vaccine and 50% of the general population are fearful of taking the vaccine. Our new President plans to vaccinate 100 million in his first 100 days and the remaining population by the end of the year.

To further complicate things for Christians, there does not seem to be any specific verses of Scripture about vaccines – that is probably because vaccine technology was not discovered until the 18th Century.

Our Wednesday Night Question of the Evening will be:

Do you plan to take the COVID Vaccine?

  • No (74%, 60 Votes)
  • Yes (14%, 11 Votes)
  • Undecided (12%, 10 Votes)

Total Voters: 81
