On Wednesday Night, June 6^th, we will study whether or not the Bible teaches that the Earth is Flat. A few weeks ago, I met a man wearing a T-Shirt that said “Bible says Flat Earth” on the front and on the back it said “200+ Flat Earth Bible Verses”. Among the 200+ Bible verses, there are references to “four corners of the earth”, “ends of the earth”, “pillars of the earth”, the earth is fixed and unmoveable, and the sun rises and sets over the earth.

The man wearing the Flat Earth T-shirt referred me to his website where someone who had read his book on the subject understood him to say “if you’re a Christian and not believing [the earth is flat] then you are denying God’s Word.”  Also on the webpage is the suggestion to readers to ask their pastor if he believes in Flat Earth to find out whether or not he truly believes in the Word of God.
