Dealing with Objections to Faith in Christ

Home > Pastor's Blog > Dealing with Objections to Faith in Christ

Wednesday Night, Jan 25th, we will discuss ways of dealing with people who object to our faith in Christ.  If you are a Christian who is obedient to Acts 1:8, then you are a Christian who shares your faith with others. Acts 1:8 “you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  And if you are a “witnessing” Christian, then sooner or later you will have a conversation with an atheist or an agnostic who says “If Christianity is true, why have there been so many wars fought and atrocities committed in the name of Christ?”

1 Peter 3:15 says (NIV) “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect”.   How do you answer their question?  First of all, do you accept their premise?
